Henry Lee Schlottman

Henry Lee Schlottman, 91, of Robstown, Texas, passed away September 9, 2010 at his home.  He was born January 30, 1919 in Rosebud, Texas and was a farmer in South Texas since 1944.  He  raised four children.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Miller.

He is survived by his children, Joyce Micklus, Bernard Schlottman and Shirley Wysocki; his grandchildren, Jena Furman, John Micklus, IV, Christy Schlottman and Patti Coguoz.

A Rosary will be recited at 6 P.M. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown.  Burial will follow at Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ray “Button” Krietsch

Ray “Button” Krietsch, age 82, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away September 23, 2010.  He was born December 2, 1927 in Runge, Texas to Willie and Henrietta Hahn Krietsch.

Mr. Krietsch was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Roland and Herbert and two sisters, Anita and Vera.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Krietsch of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons, Gary Krietsch of Corpus Christi, Texas, Bruce (Gayla) Krietsch of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kelly (Suzanne) Krietsch of Flagstaff, Arizona; sister, Linda (Doug) Crawford of Alice, Texas; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Robstown Memorial Park with Dale Mathis officiating.

Interment will follow.

Mark S. Hayek, 51, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010.  He was born June 6, 1959 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  Mark was a lifelong Nueces County farmer.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his hunting trips to New Mexico.  Mark was active in FFA, 4-H and the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show and with Coastal Bend Gin.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe W. Hayek, and Fritz and Agnes Miller, and his uncle, Robert Lee Hayek.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Imogene Hayek; his children, Cassie, Brody and Sarah Hayek; his granddaughter, Annabelle Sophie Hayek; his parents, Edward and Lela Hayek; his grandmother, Lillie Hayek; all of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sister, Lori (Jeffrey) Barrett of Poulsboro, Washington; his nieces, Kate and Tristen Barrett; his aunts, Wilma Hayek of San Antonio and Fritzie (Cecil) McGregor of Corpus Christi, Texas; his uncles, David (Regina) Hayek of Friendswood, Texas and Fritz Miller of Corpus Christi, Texas; his grand dogs, Jewels, Budro and Jill.

Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 7 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, September 24, 2010 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Thompson officiating.

Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Bernie Mokry, Tony Petri, Maynard Menn, Jr., David Ainsworth, Sr., Charlie Farek, Larry Hellmann, Peter Tischler and Andrew Tischler.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the charity of your choice.

Stephen John Brown, Sr.

Stephen John Brown, Sr., age 58, of Robstown, Texas passed away September 19, 2010 in Houston, Texas.

He was born in New York City, New York on March 7, 1952 and later adopted by Richard and Elsie Hahn Brown.

Stephen served his country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Army.  He was self-employed as a journeyman carpenter and took great pride in always doing the best job possible.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marion.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brown of Robstown, Texas; children, Stephen John (Monica) Brown, Brandy (T.J.) Wade, Gary (Melissa) Niederbrach, Jeff (Constance) Niederbrach; brothers, Danny (Brenda) Fenner, Frank (Elizabeth) Brown, Robert (Peggy) Masters; sister, Sherry Billingsley; grandchildren, Atlee Brown, Seth Knott, Madicyn Knott, Morgan Wade, Cheyanne Niederbrach, Desiree Niederbrach, Wyatt Niederbrach.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bevins Welder officiating.

Services will conclude at the chapel.

Dwayne Strickland

Strickland, Dwayne

Dwayne Strickland, 59 of Corpus Christi, passed away September 16, 2010.  Dwayne was born May 25, 1951 in Lamesa, Texas.

Dwayne was the owner and operator of Strickland Cotton Company, Inc. for 21 years. Dwayne was a past president of Corpus Christi Cotton Exchange and life long member of the Texas Cotton Association as well as the Lubbock Cotton Exchange.  On June 6, 1970 he married the love of his life, Roxanne.  He and Roxanne shared many happy memories with each other throughout the years.

Dwayne is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Leota Strickland and father-in-Law, Fred Nelson Minter.  Dwayne is survived by his wife, Roxanne; daughter, Brandy Berry (Todd); son, Chad (Brittney); mother-in-law, Fern Minter; and grandchildren, Callie Baskin, Brady Allen Strickland, Logan and Madison Berry; and a host of friends and family.

Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Simmons officiating.

The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff of the 3rd Floor North at Doctors Regional Hospital with a special Thank You to Dr. Richard Hinojosa.
