Glenn Onslow Lanmon passed away in the early hours of June 16, 2012 in Corpus Christi surrounded by his family.

Born October 13, 1932 at home in Bell County, Texas to J.W. (Rusty) and Christine Lanmon, Glenn was the oldest of their six children. His life-long passion for aviation began in his early teens when he exchanged doing odd jobs at the hangars at Douglas Airport and Cudihy Field for flight lessons with Ernest Brown. With the help of Pauline & Claude Glasson he gained his commercial rating and began a career which included crop dusting, piloting corporate aircraft, 11 years as a flight test engineer with Cessna Aircraft jet division in Wichita, KS and 24 years as owner-operator of Lanmon Aerial Photography accumulating over 10,000 flight hours in his 53 year career. Glenn graduated from Texas A&I University in 1967 with a degree in general engineering. He often spoke of his gratefulness that he was able to go to work every day at a job that he loved.

Glenn met the non-giggling Phyllis Adin Tilley (a trait he absolutely admired) while a senior at Tuloso-Midway High School and was a loving and faithful husband throughout their 57 years of marriage. He was a gentle and encouraging father to their daughters Holly Lanmon, Julie (John) McAllister and Nancy (Jed) Munn and proud grandfather to John (Lindsay) McAllister, Bailey McAllister and Jackson Munn and great-granddaughter Ashley McAllister.

Glenn was a life-long Baptist making a profession of faith as a child and serving as a deacon at Tyler Road Southern Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas where he was ordained and Tuloso Midway Baptist Church where he has been an active member for the last 34 years.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tommy Lanmon and is survived by his previously mentioned immediate family, brothers Donald and Jim Lanmon, sisters Barbara Cunningham and Linda (Robert) Beish, and numerous nieces and nephews including Don (Julie) Lanmon who now flies for Lanmon Aerial Photography.
