Kimberly Ann O’Neal Fitzgerald

Kimberly Ann O’Neal Fitzgerald was taken from this world to her Heavenly Father on October 27, 2014. Kim was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Wanda and James O’Neal of Mathis, Texas.  She graduated from Tuloso-Midway High School.  Kim has been married to her high school sweetheart, Keith Fitzgerald, for 28 years.  Kim lived her life full of love and laughter, always uplifting those around her.  Her passions were her family, especially her new grandson, Aden, her “Unkie” Alan, her friends, the Texas hill country and the Dallas Cowboys.  We will always remember her beautiful smile, laughter and love.

Those preceding her in death were two infant siblings, her maternal grandparents, Louis and Catherine Lawrence, her fraternal grandparents, William and Mabel O’Neal, and father-in-law, Kenneth Fitzgerald.

Survivors include her spouse, Keith Fitzgerald of Friendswood, Texas; her children, Kevin, Leland Kenneth and Kaylee Fitzgerald; grandson, Aden all of Friendswood, Texas; her parents, Wanda and James O’Neal of Mathis, Texas; a brother, Jeff O’Neal of San Patricio, Texas; mother-in-law, Patsy Fitzgerald of Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends.

Visitation with the family present will be from 5 P.M. until 6 P.M. with the Rosary to be recited at 6 P.M. Friday, October 31, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet, Texas. Burial will follow in the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Violet, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy and Jamie Overton, J. D. Fitzgerald, Tommy Najvar, Joseph and Josh O’Neal.

Honorary pallbearer will be Alan Lawrence.

Lucille Just Esparza

Esparza, Lucille

Lucille Just Esparza, 85, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. She was born July 17, 1929 at Clarkwood, Texas to Herman and Annie Meuth Just.  Lucille was a greeter and active member of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church and participated in many Bible study groups, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.  Formerly she was a substitute teacher at St. John Catholic School in Robstown, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Esparza; brothers, David and Emmanuel Just; and sisters, Ravena Just and Patricia Dagerath.

She is survived by her daughter, Janette (Ken) Garner of Bryan, Texas; her sons, Allen Esparza and Mark (Cheryl) Esparza all of Calallen, Texas; her sisters, Marie Banta of San Antonio, Texas and Mathilda (Vernon) Simnacher of Robstown, Texas; her sisters-in-law, Lucy Minshew of St. Mary’s, Georgia, Gloria Just of Live Oak, Texas and Margaret Esparza of Runge, Texas; six grandchildren, Kendra (Joe) Hannon, Justin Garner, Jordan Garner, Michael Esparza, Andrew (Michelle) Jones and Joetta (Chris) Eberly; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. until Rosary time Thursday, October 30, 2014  at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Robstown Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Justin Garner, Jordan Garner, Michael Esparza, Andrew Jones, Chris Eberly and Joe Hannon.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church.

Lynna Jo “Mimi” Edwards

Lynna Jo “Mimi” Edwards went to Heaven on October 24, 2014. She was 78, born on August 16, 1936. She was born in Electra, Texas and grew up in Holliday, Texas where she went to high school. She attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls where she met the love of her life, Doyce Carson Edwards. They were married on July 16, 1954. After marrying, she followed him to Kansas for a time but they eventually settled in Odessa, Texas where they lived for 42 years. They moved to Corpus Christi in 2009 to be close to her daughter and family. In Odessa she worked for Delta Drilling Company for 17 years. She was an active member of the Sigma Delta chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha a philanthropic sorority in Odessa and then in Zeta Epsilon chapter in Sinton when they moved to Corpus Christi. She served as Vice President and she also served as the Jonquil Girl/Chaplain. She has been a member of ESA for 18 years. She volunteered at the hospital in Odessa.  She loved her time volunteering at Wood River Elementary in Calallen for the last five years almost every day. She enjoyed working with the students and teachers. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Doyce Carson Edwards; her parents, Jefferson Bryan Killian and Joela Carnes Killian; her brother, Jerry B. Killian; her nephews, Gary Killian and Kevin Killian. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend to all. She is survived by her daughter, Melana Gay Edwards Silva; son-in-law Paul Stuart Silva; three grandchildren, Kelsey Anne Silva, Allison Hailey Silva, and Jarod Riese Silva; niece, Nancy Killian Ramirez(Patrick); nephews Jerry Patton (Marilyn), Monty Patton (Jo Ann), and Kell Killian (Flemming); her cousins, Sue Curtis, Kim Amis (Terry); great nieces, Heather Killian and Hillary Killian and many other of her close relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 5 – 8 pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. Services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Calallen at 10:00 am on Monday, October 27, 2014. Interment will be on Tuesday, October 28 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.

Deacon Richard Robert Lewinski

Deacon Richard Robert Lewinski finished his life of service on October 21, 2014.

Richard was born to Clarence C. and Mary Jane Lewinski on April 22, 1947 in Toledo, Lucas County; Ohio. He was the second- born of four brothers.  He was a Vietnam veteran who served with the U.S. Marine Corps.  He traveled to Texas in 1969 to meet his pen pal, Maria Dahlia Garcia, whom he married in 1970.

Richard joined the Corpus Christi Police Department in 1971 and served Corpus Christi for thirty-three years. He retired as a Captain.  He was also a member of Corpus Christi Police Officers Association and Retired Police Association.  Richard’s greatest pleasure in this life was proclaiming God’s Word on Earth.  On November 8, 2008, Richard was ordained as a Deacon for the Roman Catholic Church in the Diocese of Corpus Christi.  He was assigned and served in his home parish of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church in Annaville; Corpus Christi, Texas.  Richard  was a Deacon who recognized Jesus Christ in the people he encountered on a daily basis.  Richard frequently said that we should not fear Death, but fear offending God.   The troubled should turn to God, not to drink.  He tried to live his life this way.

He valued family life deeply. He was a loving husband  and father.  Mourning his loss are his wife of forty-four years, Dahlia Lewinski;  seven children, Gabriel J., Patrick T. (Kelly), Clarence E. (Krystal), Christi N. (William Russell), Benjamin P., Matthew H. (Teri), and Andrew X. Lewinski; fourteen grandchildren, Nathan Vera, Nicholas Savage, Lauren Vera, Allison Vera, Tiffany Pena, Alex Dove, Magdalene, Logan, Lucia, Lilliana, Lyla, Andrew (A.J.), Baby Lewinski, Augustus and Daphne Russell and great grandchild, Audrey Nance.

Also in mourning are brothers, Clarence (Diane), Rudy (Anna), Harry (Connie) Lewinski; fourteen nieces and nephews and various great nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be at Sawyer-George Funeral Home on 12497 Leopard Street on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 10 AM until 2 PM.

The Rosary will be recited at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 29, 2014.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 10:30 A.M.

Interment with full military honors we be at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his sons and son-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Vocation Fund or the Cancer Society. Masses will also be deeply appreciated by the family.

James Roy “Jimmy” Clark, Jr.

James Roy “Jimmy” Clark, Jr., age 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away October 17, 2014. He was born December 1, 1932 in Waco, Texas to James Roy and Hettie Bell Abbott Clark.

Jimmy worked for Southwestern/Kerr-McGee refinery until his retirement.

After he retired he spent his time traveling and fishing Corpus Christi Bays.

He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Lucrecia Grim Clark; daughters, Deborah (Chris) Ferguson, Raina (Bob) Pegg, Cynthia (Santos) Suniga, Jamie (David) Collier; sister, Joycelyn (Terry) Carter; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family present will be on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the charity of your choice.
