Arthur Allen Fannin

Arthur Allen Fannin, 94, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015.  He was born November 17, 1920 in Potosi, Taylor County, Texas to the late James Russell “Jake” Fannin and Ada Angela Rodgers Fannin.  Arthur was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a Pearl Harbor Survivor.  He worked as a union electrician and was a member of IBEW #278.  He was an amazing father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his daughters, Gwen Reynolds and Donna (Lee) Marshall all of Corpus Christi; four granddaughters, Marcie (Wade) Thomas, Brent Allen (Hillary) Reynolds, Brandon L. (Amanda) Marshall and Dasha Reynolds; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be conducted at 2 PM. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.  Burial will follow.

Carolyn Ann Trammell, 72, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed into eternal rest on May 23, 2015.

Carolyn was born on August 31, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas, daughter of the late James Bailey (J.B.) Wright and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Wright.  She graduated from W.B. Ray High School. Carolyn worked in the office of the family business, Currie’s Nursery, until its closing. She enjoyed sewing and crafting as well as being outdoors and long, sight-seeing car rides. She was always up for an adventure.She was a loving mother and beloved by her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.She is survived by her three children, daughter, Tammy Greene and  husband Michael of Boerne, TX, son, Robert (Bobby) Corder of Corpus Christi, TX, daughter, Cherie Gunter and husband Johnnie of Woodstock, GA, six grandchildren; Shanen Gunter Taylor and her husband Alec, Shelbi, Gracen and Graham Gunter, Kayla Wood and Bruce Wells, one future great grandchild: John Michael Taylor, two sisters, Mary E. Traveland of Richardson, TX and Sandra W. Dunning of Plano, TX, one brother, J.B. Wright Jr. of Cheapside, TX along with many other relatives and friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 AM at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Simmons officiating.

Burial to follow at the  Banquete Cemetery.

Robert Allen Prinz

Robert Allen Prinz, passed away on May 23,2015. He was born on October 31, 1936, in Manor, Texas.  Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn Prinz; his sister, Lucille McMurray; son, Keith Allen Prinz; grandson, John Robert Prinz Jr. and great grandson, Liam James Karadimos. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria (Sherek); daughters, Susan Wilson, Sharon Luker (David), Sharlene Tate (Danny) and son, John Prinz (Julie); sisters, Phyllis Toler (Charlie) and Kathy Favor (Bill); daughter-in-law, Janna Prinz; 17 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  Robert served 2 years active duty in the US Army and 4 yearsin the reserves.  He graduated from W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated with a Bachelors degree from Texas Lutheran College.  He worked  for GAB business services for 35 years as a insurance general adjuster specializing in the cotton industry.  Robert had a passion for fishing with his sons. Visitation will take place from 6:00p.m. to 8:00pm Wednesday May 27,2015, at Sawyer George Funeral Home in Calallen, Texas.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 1:00pm at St John Lutheran Church, 3316 Hummingbird Lane, Robstown, Texas  78380.  Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the (www.woundedwarriorsproject.org)

Emma Louise Gann

Emma Louise Gann of Robstown, TX passed into glory on Saturday, May 16, 2015, in Corpus Christi, TX; the same day she was born 88 years prior (May 16, 1927) in Denver, Colorado.  She was the daughter of Ora Dale and Myrtle Azalea Coppersmith of Yakima, Washington.  Emma was a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Robstown, TX.  Mrs. Gann served nearly 25 years in Federal Service in retail management. She retired as the Retail Manager for the Navy Exchange on the Island of Guam, Mariana Islands, U.S.  After returning to the mainland, she and her husband “Pappy” Gann owned and operated the Restaurant, Bait and Tackle Shop on the Horace Caldwell Pier in Port Aransas (1971-1975). From 1982-1986 Mrs. Gann lived in Charco, Texas where she and her husband managed and operated the VFW Hall in Runge, TX.  In May 1992, they returned to the Corpus Christi area and settled in Robstown, TX.  Mrs. Gann was an avid “fisherwoman” who landed many a tarpon and huge sharks while she and her husband spent a number days and nights on Horace Caldwell and Bob Hall piers in the 1950-1960s. She also loved to hunt and was known by hunting buddies as “dead-eye Emma” as she never missed a shot at a deer or hog.  Mrs. Gann was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Raymond Joseph Gann, Jr.; a daughter, Lynda Carol Green; an infant son, Billy Jack Gann; and a grandson, Michael Edward Green.

Emma is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Roy) Crossland of Robstown, TX; a son, Raymond Gene Gann of Corpus Christi, TX; 5 grandchildren, and 13 great grand children.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2120 FM 1889, Robstown, TX.  Visitation for family and close friends will be held that same morning at the church from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.  Interment will be at a later date in the Royal Palm Cemetery, Port Aransas, TX.

Ross King Lamb

Ross was born in Houston, Texas on December 11, 1936 to Edmund Daniel Lamb and Velma Irene King.

Ross left us May 11, 2015 and is preceded in death by father, Edmund Daniel Lamb, mother, Velma Irene Lamb, brother, Michael Joseph Lamb and son, Christopher Shannon Lamb.

He leaves behind his wife of forty four years, Peggy Ann Lamb; two sons, David Lamarr Lamb and Bobby Todd Webb; two daughters, Cynthia Belle Janak and Laura Rebecca Willem; seven grandchildren, one son-in-law, Steven Janak.

Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, 420 S. Duval St., Mathis, Texas 78368-2908.
