Natalie R. Dimas, 41, died on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Natalie fought a brave and courageous battle against cancer, but it overpowered all her gallant efforts. We will miss her deeply, but we console ourselves knowing that she is no longer suffering discomfort and pain.

Natalie was born March 4 , 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Benito Jr. and Gloria Ramirez. She was a lifelong Calallen area resident. Her last employment was at the Calallen East Elementary School as a Teacher’s Aide. She loved helping the teachers and children. Her ready smile, jokes, and resounding laughter attracted a multitude of friends. Natalie’s sweet, sincere, and warm demeanor was genuine and special.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and daughter. The apple of her eye, her daughter Dolores. Together, Natalie and her beloved husband and best friend, Elias Dimas, dedicated their lives to Dolores’ care and well-being.

She is survived by her loving husband, Elias Dimas; daughter, Dolores; son, Elias Dimas, Jr.; her mother, Gloria Ramirez; and a brother, Mario Ramirez; niece, Giselle Ramirez; nephew, Austin Benito Ramirez; her remaining family survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins from Corpus Christi, Houston, Waco, San Antonio, and El Paso, Texas; to include family members from Florida, Illinois and Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her father, Benito Ramirez, Jr.; grandparents, Benito Ramirez, Sr. and Celestina Ramirez, Mele and Dolores Rivera, an aunt, and three uncles.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Sawyer- George Funeral Home Chapel in Calallen.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church.

Interment will be in the Robstown Memorial Park.

George Klett Parish

Parish, George

George Klett Parish, died on September 16, 2016. He was born on November 11, 1921 and transitioned from this life to the great hereafter-forevermore-Amen.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Geraldine (Darling) Parish and Marcia (Keene) Parish; sisters, Edna (Parish) Chambers, Barbara (Parish) Norton; brother, LaVerne Parish. He is survived by a sister, Helen (Parish) Seyfert; daughters, Katherine (Parish) Sparks, Deborah (Parish) Summers; step-daughter, Marcia (Snipe) Moore; step-son, Robert Snipe; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren..

There will be a visitation with the family at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St. on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M.

Graveside funeral services will be held at the Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City, Texas on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11 A.M.

In lieu of flowers , the family asks that a memorial donation be made to PAWS Animal Rescue or to a Hospice program.

Martha Jane Soule Fuqua

Martha Jane Soule Fuqua went home to her Lord and Savior, Saturday, September 17, 2016. Martha was born May 29, 1929 to her father, Joseph S. Law and her mother, Martha Francis Bailey Paine.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, her sister, Joanne Andre and a brother, Howard B. Law, her first husband, Jim Swope and second husband, Richard C. Soule.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Leray) Hoelscher, one granddaughter, Tami (Clifford) Cogsdell and one grandson, Josh (Kelle) Hoelscher, three great granddaughters, Amber Zimmerle, Leah Jiran, and Sindale Hoelscher.

Martha was an avid game player and played Bunco with two different groups for many years. She loved to travel and was able to travel throughout the United States, Canada and the Panama Canal.  She loved Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church and her extended family there and was very active in her service to the church.  Most of all  Martha loved her family and never left them in any doubt of her love.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Martha’s reunion with Christ will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church located 10500 Stonewall Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX with reception to follow immediately after the service.

Pastor Wendy Nave and Pastor Charles Walden will join in officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church in her memory.

Mary Frances Roberts

Roberts, Mary

Mary Frances Roberts, age 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away September 16, 2016. She was born in Houston, Texas on July 11, 1926 to Louis Robert Read, Sr. and Margie Lee McCann.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Louis Robert Read II and her husband, William Paul Roberts in 1999.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Ruby Read; her daughters, `Sally Ann Willson, Linda Frances Eneks and Sheri Lee Sandidge; her grandchildren, Nicole, Tom, Jr., Heather, Rebecca, Greg, Michael, Stephen and Kevin; fifteen great grandchildren survive.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at the Calallen Baptist Church.

Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Maxine Wagener Bode

Bode, Maxine

Maxine Wagener Bode passed away September 8, 2016.  She was born September 30, 1929 in Yoakum Texas to Marvin and Hilda Wagener.  Her teaching career began in 1956 with the Calallen School District and continued for thirty three years. She was a positive role model for the many children she taught.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill , a son Bryan, a daughter Roxy and her brother Marvin.  She was also predeceased by her lifelong friend, Carolyn Winters.

Maxine is survived by daughter, Betty (Greg) Murphy; son, Wade (Brenda) Bode; and a son-in-law, Mike Linton; seven grandchildren: Joli (Jeremy) Finch, Staci (Jared) McCullough, Beth (Mak) Becker, Matthew (Audrey) Bode, Bryan Bode, Laci (John Paul) Reed and Lori Linton. She is also survived by her eight great grandchildren; Jaden and Jaci Finch, Brooke and Brenna Becker, Kaydance and Gweneth Bode, and Murphy and Kollins McCullough.

All of her grandchildren/great grandchildren brought immense joy to her life.  As a loving mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all.

Maxine was so fortunate to have a special sister whom she loved dearly, Loleta Riley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at Sawyer George Funeral Home Chapel.  The funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Grace United Methodist Church, 14521 Northwest Blvd. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Grace United Methodist Ministries or to the charity of your choice.
