Jimmie V Simpson

Jimmie V Simpson, 81, passed away June 7, 2018 in Corpus Christi, TX. Jimmie was a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Falfurrias, TX for 20 years before retiring and moving to Corpus. He truly loved fishing, hunting, ranching, and racing quarter horses. Jimmie also was an avid Cowboys and Astros fan!

He was preceded in death by his parents L.B. (Bake) and Lois E. Simpson, and by his brother, Jerry L. Simpson.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Olga Ruth, his daughter, Jennifer Lauren, as well as his children from a previous marriage, sons, Jimmie Bake (Karen), John Lee, Grady Lindsay, daughter, Pamela June; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A private family memorial service will be held.

Maria Flores Gonzalez

Maria Flores Gonzalez, 92, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018. She was born March 22, 1926 in Millet, Texas to Raymond and Lucia Renteria Flores.  During WWII she contributed to the war effort working as sheet metalist.  For 17 years she owned and operated Mary Gonzalez’s Nursing Home giving love and care to the elderly.

She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Pedro Gonzalez; her sons, Domingo, Jr. and Mario Ochoa.

She is survived by her brother, Raymond Flores; her sisters, Elsa Flores, Elida Flores Rosa and Ofelia Kushmer; her sons, Delphino Ochoa (Silvia) and Hector F. Gonzalez (Carmen) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Mary Aguirre of Robstown, Texas, Estella Barrientos of Chicago, Illinois, Aurelia Rodriguez (Rod) of Indiana and Blanca Salinas of Corpus Christi, Texas; 17 grandchildren including Sebastian D. Gonzalez; and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Monday, June 11, 2018 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Ray Flores officiating. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.

Morgan, Thomas

Thomas(Tommy)Morgan joined Jesus in His Heavenly Kingdom on May 31, 2018. He was born May 16, 1969 to Don and Joann Morgan.Tommy is survived by his parents, Don and Dorris Morgan, Joann Morgan. His parents by marriage, Albert and Delia Diaz. Tommy is also survived by the Love of his life, Marcia; daughters, Brittany (Andrew) Pinder, Emily Morgan; sons, Jordan and Anthony Morgan; his pride and joy his grandchildren,  Remington, Landon and Ashlynn Pinder. Tommy is survived by sisters, Cindy (Allen) Vecera, Ursula Dollard (Ted); brothers, Donnie (Sheri) Morgan, Randy (Laura) Morgan, Larry (Tracy) Morgan, Kyle Wagner.  His sisters by marriage, Pam (Diaz) Fedro, Chrissy (Diaz) Rist and Priscilla (Diaz) Schneider, and numerous nephews and nieces which he adored.  He is also survived by many, many friends near and far.  Tommy was such a loving and committed husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was the most loving, caring, selfless man, he will be missed.  Tommy always put others first even in his last days.  Though we will miss his earthly body we know he will rest in Jesus’ loving arms and will be there to greet us when we complete our earthly journey. Tommy was a very active member of his community. He was a War Cat Baseball Board Member, a Charter Representative for the Boy Scouts and American Heritage Girls.  He was also a member of The Knights of Columbus.Visitation will be at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, on Sunday, June 3, 2018 From 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a rosary recited at 7:00pm.Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church 16602 FM 624, Robstown, Texas 78380.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arlington Heights Christian school Corpus Christi Texas.
