Edith Clara Broussard Gallet

Edith Clara Broussard Gallet, born on June 17, 1927, was called to her eternal home on March 24, 2020 at the age of 92. She was born in Galveston, Texas on June 17, 1927 to Lucille and Elias Broussard. 

Edith was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis “Floyd” Gallet of 62 years, her parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Albert Gallet; and grandson Cameron Bowers.

She is survived by her brother, Robert Broussard (Joyce) of Cypress, Texas, brother-in-law, John (Wanda) Gallet of Orange, Texas; son, Louis Floyd Gallet, Jr. (Pam) of Robstown, Texas; daughter, Patricia Ann Brand (Richard) of Bishop, Texas; grandchildren, Chris Gallet (Lisa); Jana Gallet of Corpus Christi, Texas, Conrad Bowers (Erin) of San Antonio; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and a nephew.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date when public celebrations are permitted.

Elizabeth Ellen Seastrum

 

Elizabeth Ellen Seastrum, 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away March 19, 2020. She was born June 18, 1929 in Creston, Iowa to Terrence and Mabel Beakler Owens.  She was a retired accountant for the city of Corpus Christi.

Mrs. Seastrum was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her son, Richard “Ricky”; her sister, Margaret and her parents.

She is survived by her nephews, George (Pat) Fish and Jack (Ellen) Fish; and her nieces, Bridget Risemberg and Linda Haiducek.

Graveside services will be private.

James “Jim” Lambert

 

Lambert, JamesJames “Jim” Lambert, age 90, died peacefully on March 17, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He was born on January 28, 1930 to Carl and Florence Lambert in Newton, Massachusetts.

Jim worked for Southwestern Bell for 36 years, retiring in 1986.  He served in the U. S. Air Force.  He was on the board of the Cowboy Fellowship of  San Patricio County.  Jim helped manage the Lindale Senior Center dances for over 6 years and served as president and various other offices for Bluebonnet Bell Camping Club for many years.

He loved dancing, his dogs, fishing, camping, traveling, family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Edward and Carl; his first wife, Zoreta (1949-1965); second wife, Lorene (1966-2001); son, “Robbie” (1984).

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; his daughters, Linda, Susan, Celia (Robert) and Nancy; his sons, Richard (Patty), David, Jeffrey (Glenda) and James, Jr.; his brother, “Bucky” Moricola; stepdaughter, Deborah (Wes);  20 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, Texas (Calallen).

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Velma Margaret Moseley

Mosley, VelmaVelma Margaret Moseley, age 94, of Robstown, Texas passed away March 16, 2020 in Schulenburg, Texas.  She was born January 3, 1926 in Hallettsville, Texas to Theodore Fitch and Nettie Jacobs Fitch.

Mrs. Moseley was a hair dresser for five years starting in 1957, a homemaker and a member of River Hills Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roscoe F. Moseley and a granddaughter, Connie Sue Capak.

Mrs. Moseley is survived by her son, Clebert Moseley of Edna, Texas; a daughter, Sue Stanford of Corpus Christi, Texas; grand children, Daryl Moseley, Shanna Harris, Kelsey Moseley, Melissa Zapalac, Jack Stanford, Jr., Doug Stanford; twelve great grandchildren.; and four sisters.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday March 18, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Watson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Robstown Memorial Park.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

 

Loanna Maxine Begley Hayley

Loanna Maxine Begley Hayley, 93, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020.  She was born March 6, 1927 in Seminole, Oklahoma to John E. and Mary S. Matthews Begley.

She was a member of the Church of Christ at Riverside.

Loanna was preceded in death by her husband, W. D. “Dub” Hayley; her daughter, Barbara Jean Hayley; and 11 brothers.

She is survived by a son, Tommy Hayley; two grandsons, Tommy Hayley, II and Christopher Hayley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Burial will follow.
