Corpus Christi

Adriana Lucila “Lucy” Lekosky, 68, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on May 5, 2025. Born on October 24, 1956, to Juan and Adela Galvan the middle child of 5 children. Lucy was born and raised in Corpus Christi and loved our city. She graduated in 1975 from Miller High School. “Once a Buc, ALWAYS a Buc” After high school Lucy moved to Fall Brook, California. She later moved to Alameda County after the birth of her first son, Sonny Joe Limon. After a few years there she moved back to Corpus Christi. While working at Bay Limited, she met and married her husband Bill Lekosky in November of 1986. They had three children together, Billy, Ryan (Gordo) and Danika. Lucy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and always a friend. Lucy was a light of love and friend to all who knew her. She had a passion for photography all of her adult life. You never saw her without a camera at any function big or small. She enjoyed capturing moments of fun times or photographing the beautiful scenery of our great nation. Lucy loved all things, arts & crafts. She took painting classes and painted many bird houses that her Father would build for her. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Most of her gifts were things made with love and made by her. Many baby blankets were given to family and friends as gifts. Lucy had many jobs in the Corpus Christi area. Bay Limited, Hershey Hotel, Gulf Supply, Mattsco, IPS, and TMHS. She kept in touch with someone from each job for many years to follow. Her best time spent, and most loved job was working for the Tuloso Midway Independent School District where her children attended school. She lived by if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. There she bonded with many coworkers especially her “Dream Team” in the counseling office. After the loss of her youngest son she gave 3 more years to Tuloso Midway and retired in 2013. She took up subbing for TM for many years. In 2017 she started caring for her Mother as well as being able to enjoy her grandchildren more. She later returned back to work in August 2023 working part time for Snowden Chiropractor Clinic. Unsure if she would enjoy it, she made more friends and enjoyed visiting and seeing their patients. Lucy’s greatest blessings were her 6 Grandchildren and recently the addition of a Godson which was both an honor and a privilege. They brought her great joy and she enjoyed going to their sporting events. It reminded her of her past, attending all the events her children were involved in. Lucy was raised a Catholic and continued in the Catholic Faith all of her life. She was a devout Catholic and in her later years became very involved in the church at Pax Christi. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Lucy was the “world traveler”. There was never a question if she could go, it was when and where are we going. Her bags were packed, and she was always ready for the adventures. Lucy had traveled to almost all 50 states and traveled many times overseas. Her most enjoyable trip was her trip to the Holy Land in September of 2023. Lucy had many different groups of friends that she created lots of memories with and it brought her immense happiness.

Lucy is proceeded in death by her Mother, Adela Galvan and her Father, Juan A. Galvan. As well as her son, Ryan Edward Lekosky.

She is survived and left to cherish her life by her husband, William (Bill) Lekosky, her son Sonny Limon (Lorena Marquet), her son Billy Lekosky (Ashton Casarez) and her daughter Danika Anderwald (Clay Anderwald) all of Corpus Christi, Tx.
