Benny Motes

Benny Motes, age 77, of Robstown, Texas passed away December 22, 2017. He was born October 11, 1940 in Robstown, Texas to James and Leah Motes. Benny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ron Motes, a daughter Vanessa Motes. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nordiah Motes; a son; two daughters, Diana Jackson and Carolyn Hamilton; six grandchildren, Cassie (Jeff) Jones, Elizabeth Motes, Valerie (Nick) Wilson, Daniel Jackson, Amanda Shipp, and Phillip Jackson; two great grandchildren, Emma and Amelia Jones; numerous nieces and nephews. Benny was a very generous man and has worked in the oilfield for over 63 years. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Friday, December 29, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.
