Bernard "BE" Neslony, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at his home from natural causes. He was born February 23, 1929 in Yorktown, Texas. BE was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and retired from CPL. He was a member of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7290, a member of the V.F.W. Post 7811 in Robstown and the American Legion, Bill Roper Post in Corpus Christi, Texas. BE was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was a man of tremendous faith and love. He loved to hunt, play dominos and socialize with his family and friends. Though he had two sons by birth, over the years he informally adopted many. He was a man who gave generously of his time, talent and treasure. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Mary Wasser Neslony; his brothers, Dan, Edward, Raymond and Bert Neslony, his sisters, Susan Wadham, Rose Brandt and Dorothy Neslony. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pauline Neslony of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sons, Lawrence (Robbie Sue) Neslony of Corpus Christi, Texas and Glenn (Carol) Neslony of Houston, Texas; his brother, Joe (Dorothy) Neslony of Waco, Texas; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Neslony of Midland, Texas; his grandchildren, Travis and Tyler Neslony, Robert and Peyton Lansford, Rosemary, Theresa and Anthony Neslony; numerous nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2011 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome as celebrant. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus including E. J. Arnecke, Ryan Schroeder, Don Klock, Freddy Malik, Dennis Havrda, George Malik, Jimmy Sanders and Juan Cabasos. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the coffee, domino and breakfast groups including Pat, Larry, Louie, Steve, Mike, Amelia and members of the Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the Knights of Columbus Council #7290, 3901 Violet Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78410.
