Betty Sue Rosas, passed away on November 17, 2018, at the age of 81. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time outside doing her gardening. Betty was a devoted mother and loved spending quality time with her family and many friends. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Gilberto Rosas; her sons, Gilberto Jr., Rolando and Alexander Rosas; her parents, three brothers and one sister. Betty is survived by her children, Norma Gonzales (Benito), Esmeralda McElhaney (Brian), Gilberto Rosas, Diana Matula (Thomas), Eddie Rosas (Jennifer); fourteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and her sister, Lydia Trevino. So many thanks to Betty’s in-laws who came by or called daily to check on her health and to see if the family was in need of anything. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Betty’s providers and caregivers from OPUS Hospice for their kindness and service during her illness. Visitation will be from Noon to 1 P.M., Wednesday, November 21, 2018 with a rosary being recited at 1 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will celebrated at 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church on Violet Road. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown. Pallbearers will be Gilberto and Eddie Rosas, Betty Sue Gonzales, Roger and Marvin Parker, James McElhaney and Joel Rosas.
