Carroll Abel

Carroll Wayne Abel passed away on December 26, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas after a brave fight against cancer. He was born in Brownsville, Texas to Jesse Morris Abel and Margaret Pfeifer Abel on May 15, 1947. Like his father, Carroll served in the U. S. Navy. After honorable discharge from the Navy, he attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Mechanics. Carroll was employed by Case Power & Equipment and by Anderson Machinery in Corpus Christi until his retirement. Carroll is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Audrey, and brother Don "Sonny" Abel. He is survived by daughters, Stacey Reynolds (Beau) of Frisco, Texas, Stephanie Dunn (Mykel) of Mathis, Texas and Eva Rodriguez (Francisco) of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by grandchildren Grayson and Walker Reynolds, Harley and Augustyne Dunn, Evelyn Allen and Maya Rodriguez. His siblings Jesse Abel, Rebecca “Becky” Abel, and Robby Abel also survive him. Carroll had a passion for working with his hands. He could build and repair just about anything and had a gift for creating beautiful custom wood furniture and decor. He was an active member of Christ Central Baptist Church and called everyone Friend. He had the kindest heart imaginable and we all will miss him dearly.
