Charles "Chuck" Cryer
December 5, 1962 – December 5, 2025
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and servant of God went home to heaven on his birthday, completing the circle of his earthly and heavenly creation.
He married Brenda Pearl Pickens on January 8, 1983 when they were only 20 years old. He served proudly in the U.S. Army, while Brenda lovingly steadied their home and, as the family liked to say, “raised Chuck before giving him any children.” Their love became a testimony of patience, faith, and true partnership.
After 13 years of marriage, they welcomed their first son, John Charles, followed by their second son, Christopher Dale. He taught them strength, discipline, hard work, and devotion to God. In 2023, he was blessed to meet his cherished granddaughter, May Pearl.
A man of many talents, he loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking, proudly carrying on his grandfather Luther’s legacy. In 2015, he, Brenda, and Chris started a family sawmill operation, reflecting their dedication and teamwork. He was a gifted mechanic, a former race car driver, and even a DJ in his younger years.
His faith was the foundation of his life. Even during cancer treatments, he walked the clinic offering Bibles and prayer, always sharing God’s love with others.
He will be remembered for his kindness, craftsmanship, generosity, and unwavering service to the Lord.
Well done, good and faithful servant.
