Charles Felton Van Zandt

Charles Felton VanZandt passed away on September 2, 2025 after a short illness. He was born on October 16, 1937 in Alpine, TX to the late William Reonard VanZandt and the late Lee Ellen VanZandt.

 He attended Miller High School in Corpus Christi and graduated from Bloomington High School in Bloomington. He enjoyed watching movies and had an extensive video library. 

Charles retired from G4S Security in 2015, then worked at BWR Financial and retired in 2024. Prior to G4S Security, he worked for a contracting company at NAS Corpus Christi and for Brown & Root Construction. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother William Wayne Warren, and two granddaughters Briana Paige VanZandt and Celeste Arnold. 

He is survived by sons Kenneth Wayne VanZandt (Palmira) of Victoria, Aaron Ray VanZandt (Angela) of Iron Station, North Carolina, and Heath Alan VanZandt (Debbie) of Robstown, and daughter Carolyn Bridges (Mike) of Victoria, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are sons Heath and Aaron VanZandt, grandson-in-law Jay Murdoch, Kevin Creel, Burt Raglin, and Billy Van Blarcum.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Memorial Fund at Calallen Baptist Church, 13505 IH 37 Access, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
