With hearts touched by both sorrow and gratitude, we remember and celebrate the life of Christie Tarble, who departed this world on August 21, 2026. Born on March 3, 1973, in Corpus Christi, Christie spent her life in the embrace of the city she called home, a place woven deeply into her story, passions, and cherished relationships.
Christie’s journey was marked by a profound devotion to family, enduring love, and an abiding spirit that inspired all fortunate enough to know her. She found her partner in life’s every season in her beloved husband, John Tarble, whose steadfastness and loyalty matched her own. Together, they were a reflection of enduring companionship and the quiet strength that forms the foundation of a family.
Family was at the heart of Christie’s world. She shared unbreakable bonds with her sisters, Debi Galvan and Lisa Alvarez-Bonilla, who will forever carry forward her memory as both a guiding light and dear friend. Christie's affection extended to her extended family, her cousin Stephanie Arellano, and her nephew Mark Alvarez, each of whom felt the full warmth of her kindness and her unwavering generosity of spirit.
Yet, loss too marked Christie’s path, shaping her compassion and resilience. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Hope and father Onesimo, whose teachings and love echoed throughout her life. Her brother Mando and son Timothy also departed before her; their memories remained treasures she carried each day, reflections of both joy and longing.
Through every season, Christie lived not only for those she loved but also as an embodiment of quiet strength. Though the details of her professional life and public service are not chronicled here, her legacy lies in the way she loved—steady, unwavering, and with a grace that left a lasting impression on all around her.
As we bid farewell to Christie Tarble, we gather to honor her memory and celebrate a life abundantly lived. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Monday, August 31, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, TX. A Rosary will be recited at the same location beginning at 7:00 PM.
A Mass will take place in her honor on Tuesday, September 1, starting at 10:00 AM at St Peter Prince Of The Apostles, 3901 Violet Rd, Corpus Christi, to give thanks for Christie’s life and to offer prayers for her eternal peace. Following the Mass, a burial will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church-Violet, 3918 Co Rd 61, Violet, TX, beginning at 11:30 AM.
While sorrow may fill the spaces Christie once so joyfully occupied, her memory shall ever remain a source of comfort and inspiration—a testament to a life well-lived, and love made manifest. Those who gathered around her, love her still; who mourn her, honor her forever.
