David Allen Anderson II

October 3, 1982 — August 25, 2025

David Allen Anderson, II of Corpus Christi passed away August 25, 2025. He was born October 3, 1982, in Anchorage, AK. Shortly after, they relocated to Corpus Christi, TX where he attended Calallen ISD. Later, he returned to Alaska to complete his education.

Shortly out of high school, David started working on the North Slope of Alaska, which is one of the most demanding and treacherous places in the world to work. There, his hard work, and determination shined above many, as he quickly moved into a supervisor role from where he started out sweeping shop floors. To be closer to his family, David and his daughter Lylah moved back to Texas, where he continued the challenging work by getting into the oilfield. He took some time off to hike through the Pacific Crest, Continental Divide, and some of the Appalachian Trail off and on from 2018-2020. If you followed him, you saw the amazing places and unforgettable views along with him. David wrote, “I’ve walked close to 5000 miles to get back to myself as a man on the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail.” As this was a great accomplishment of his, along with the love of meeting new people and making many lifelong friends, the greatest achievement he was most proud of was his daughter Lylah. He especially loved going on vacation with her, sharing the beautiful scenery he loved & the history behind the countless places he went to with her, along with the ones he hiked. He enjoyed all genres of music, whether he was playing it, singing, or just listening. Although, Lylah liked to cover his mouth when he sang. He was excited about creating his garden & getting his mom, Judith’s expertise in helping him and David was also looking forward to spending some quality time with his sisters since he came back to town. And if you knew him around cousins and nephews, you knew what the “claw” was. He would chase them around giving them the claw. They knew it well. David was a loving, kind-hearted soul who loved seeing the world and loved his daughter to know end. You could always see it in his eyes, his smile and sometimes a tear. He was an immensely proud dad, and she hung the moon in his eyes.

David is preceded in death by his wife Kirby Anderson, father David Anderson I, maternal Grandmother Evelyn Bowen, Grandfather (Papa) W.H. Bowen (Dub), paternal Grandmother Peggy Gerhardson, and Grandfather Dave Anderson.

He is survived by his daughter Lylah Anderson, mother Judith Myers, Step-Father Tim Myers, Sisters Kayla Martinez (Jamie), (Nephews: Kayson, Jamie, Jr. & Kye) Courtney Colston (Collin), (Nieces & Nephews : Caden, Paetynn, Reagen & Leighton) step-sisters Stacy Belcher(Jimmy), Melissa Leadingham (Mickey),.
