David Melville Donald

David Melville Donald, age 79, of Robstown, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. David was born on August 16, 1946, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, to Roy Donald and Francis Gall Donald.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Frances, and his sister Lois. He is survived by his wife Deborah; his children Joanna (Mark), Matthew (Angela), Adam (Brae), Laura (Brent), and Brittany; and his grandchildren Isla, Aria, McKenna, Colton, Liv, and Emmie.

David graduate medical school at the University of Alberta in 1970 before pursuing an internship at the University of Calgary and a residency in urology at the University of Toronto. He attained a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada. He practiced as a urologist in Toronto for many years, before moving to Corpus Christi in 1993. He started his practice Bayside Urology and served the Coastal Bend for 23 years.

David had a lifelong love of horses. From training his childhood horse to do tricks, to riding/raising Arabians at his farm outside Toronto, and finally enjoying his Quarter Horses at his ranch in Robstown, horses always held a special place in his heart.

David's favorite place to take his family on vacation was his home in Grand Cayman. It was there that he married his wife Deborah on November 3, 1993. His family has many treasured memories of walking on the beach, jet skiing, snorkeling at the reef, and braving the stingrays at Stingray City.

David also fostered a love of history, in particular Napoleonic history. He could spend hours perusing the museums of Paris and over the years developed a treasured collection of antiques.

David cared deeply for his family. He was proud of his children's accomplishments and treasured his time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and the numerous lives he touched in his years in the Corpus Christi community.
