David Allen Perring, 70, of Robstown, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 30, 2026. He was born on February 10, 1956, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Donald & Betty (Hobbs) Perring.
David graduated from Calallen High School in 1974 and on June 3, 1978, he married the love of his life, Karen Sue Gustafson. They were blessed with three sons: Bradley Allen Perring, Wesley Wade Perring, Kelly Dean Perring and 11 grandchildren. His family was truly his pride and joy. He was there to support his boys and grandchildren as they participated in band, boy scouts and all the sports that they loved to play.
As David and Karen built their life together, he worked in the oilfield as a well-head mechanic for 14 years before changing jobs to work at Reynolds Metals (Sherwin Alumina) as a maintenance mechanic where he retired in 2014. He also owned and operated his own machine shop for a number of years.
David was known as a jack of all trades by his family and friends. He was always willing to help anyone that needed his help whether it was working on a car, building or remodeling a house or repairing a piece of broken equipment.
During his childhood he loved camping with his family. Then with his own family, David and Karen took their sons and eventually their grandchildren camping every summer. Oh, the fun times they all had.
Above all, David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and cousin. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Karen Sue Perring; his sons: Bradley Perring, Wesley Perring (Sabrina) and Kelly Perring (Tyanna); 11 grandchildren: Jacob Perring Jax Perring, Tyler Landreth, Jada Landreth, Aubree Priddy, Madison Priddy, Emily Priddy, Conner Bateman, Masyn Perring, Willow Perring and Kaden Trevino; and a brother: Bill (Sharon) Perring. David's love for his grandchildren held a special place in his heart, providing him with joy that was truly heartfelt and endless.
David is preceded in death by both of his parents, Donald and Betty Perring and older brother, Terry Perring.
In remembering David Allen Perring, we honor a life rich in dedication, family love, and craftsmanship - a man who quietly achieved much and loved deeply, leaving behind a legacy cherished by all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Perring, Wesley Perring, Kelly Perring, Jacob Perring, Tyler Landreth, and Loye Snyder. Honorary pallbearers are: Jax Perring and Masyn Perring.
