What can I say about my sister, Denise? She prided herself on having a rough exterior, not letting anyone get too close. But inside she was soft and emotional and just wanted to be accepted and loved, like we all do.

If she liked you, you knew it. If she didn’t like you, you knew it. She wasn’t the type to sugar coat her emotions. So, she spoke her mind. Sometimes that was hard for people to accept, but that is who she was.

If she were here now, she would say, “don’t write anything mushy.”

So, I will respect her and keep it short.

I will miss my older sister, and I pray she is at peace now.

She survived by her Daughter Mandy Griggs, and son Paul Kosub, two grandsons, a sister, Deanna Miser ( Johnny Miser) and children, (her nieces and nephew), Tandy, Brandy, Zachary and Brittany, and their families, and her longtime friend and caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her father, Houston Kosub and her mother, Kathleen Davis.
