Diana Kirk Cameron, age 82, passed away on January 25, 2026 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on September 24, 1943, Diana grew up in Corpus Christi and Houston, where she graduated from Bellaire High School. She furthered her education by attending Texas A&I University in Kingsville and Del Mar College in Corpus Christi.
In her young adult life, she had several types of employment opportunities- such as an Elevator Operator in downtown Houston, and an Executive Assistant for petroleum companies in Houston, as well as in the historic Wilson and Petroleum Buildings in downtown Corpus Christi. As her family grew and her husband’s businesses grew, she became the hub of the family unit, balancing the activities of 3 growing children, along with managing the household. As the children became more independent, she became a volunteer for Spohn Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, also known as the “Pink Ladies”. She also held several positions in APEC (Auxiliary Petroleum Engineers Club) including the position of president.
Diana was a fun person who loved to laugh, especially in the company of her family and friends. She loved to travel and always looked forward to her weekly card games at the Country Club.
She is survived by her loving children- Sherri (Donnie) Watkins of George West; Royce (Brenda) Cameron of Corpus Christi; and Jeff Killingsworth of Corpus Christi; her proud grandchildren- Jacob and Joshua Watkins; Kelby and Kendyl Cameron; Layne, Blake, and Matt Killingsworth; and great granddaughter Khloe Killingsworth.
Diana was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years- Jim Cameron. Visitation will be on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 4:00p- 8:00p at Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi.
Services will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 from 12:30p- 1:30p at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, followed by the graveside service at 2:00p at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown.
