Dora Ewers

Dora Mae Ewers, age 73, of Corpus Christi, Texas entered Heaven's gates on December 9, 2018. She was born December 13, 1944 in Alice, Texas to Albert and Elsie Esch. She is survived by her husband, Otto Ewers. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Dora was an amazing mom to many not only her children and grandchildren but for many years had welcomed other kids into their home when a need was there. Dora was an extraordinary woman and was never afraid to tackle any task from putting a roof on a house, landscaping the yard, to rescuing and bottle feeding a deer, there was not a task that mom would shy away from. Survivors include her two sons, Michael (Stacie) Ewers of Kingsville, Texas and Kevin Ewers of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Brenda (Scott) Davis of Austin, Texas; sister, Janet (Ray) Herro of Papalote, Texas; brother-in-law, Larry (Janice) Ewers of Corpus Christi, Texas; six grandchildren, Megan Ewers (19), Cierra Davis (17), Chase Davis (17), Michaela Ewers (16), Grayson Davis (11), and Tanner Ewers (11). Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday December 13, 2018 at River Hills Baptist Church with Brother Jody Simmons officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday December 13, 2018 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
