Dorothy Ryherd

Orange Grove, Texas Dorothy Ryherd, 88, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home with her family at her side after a long illness. She was born October 8, 1924 in Raymondville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Irene Oaks, her step-mother, Estella Oaks, her brother, George Oaks, Jr. and her husband, Lynn Ryherd. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (J.J.) Johnson of Calallen, Texas, and Cynthia Glass of Orange Grove, Texas; her son, Ronnie (Nelda) Ryherd of Orange Grove, Texas; her sister, Tillie (Bob) Rhodes of Raymondville, Texas; her brother, Robert Oaks of Houston, Texas; her step-sister, Jenny Strader of Brownsville, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Jesse (Sherry) Johnson, Kati (Bill) Davenport, Dorothy (Jason) Winston, Jason (Aubrie) Ryherd, Justin (Monica) Ryherd and Jordan Glass; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until service time on Friday at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.
