Earleen Elizabeth Cooper, 92, passed away on November 27, 2024 at her home in Corpus Christi, TX.
Earleen was born in Bay Shore town of Islip, New York on Long Island on January 13, 1932 to parents Frederick Earle Tiller and Hannah Elizabeth Southard.
After graduating from high school, Earleen entered the United States Air Force. Upon completion of basic and other training, Earleen ended up at McClellan Air Force Base near Sacramento, CA. This is where Earleen met Orvil Doyle Cooper who would become her husband of 52 years, before his passing in May of 2005.
Earleen was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 4 brothers, Frederick Earle Tiller Jr., James Tiller, Carl Lynn Tiller and Theodore Tiller.
Earleen is survived by 5 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Daughter Carol Anne Cooper Castillo and grandson Jeremy Castillo with great grandson James Castillo. Son James Scott Cooper and wife Madolin Cooper, granddaughter Valoree Sides and husband James Sides with great grandchildren Wayden, Landon, and Madison Sides. Son Mark Wayne Cooper Son David Earle Cooper and wife Sandra Cooper, grandson Christopher Cooper and wife Grace Cooper with great granddaughter Murphy Cooper, grandson Zachary Cooper and wife Julie Cooper with great granddaughter Bella Cooper. And granddaughter Desirae Jimenez and husband Jamie Jimenez with great granddaughter Elizabeth Jimenez. Son John Charles Cooper.
Earleen was a great role model for her family and anyone else who was around. She tolerated and eventually started to appreciate all of the music that her children were playing for many years out in the garage. Earleen also donated money to many different charities over the years including but not limited to: Disabled American Veterans, Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude’s Children's Hospital, and the Coastal Bend Food Bank.
Earleen was loved by anyone who met her and will be missed by all.
The Funeral ceremony will be at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 2 pm.
