Evelyn Martini, age 96, of Corpus Christi, Texas, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Evelyn was born in Ganado, Texas March 22, 1930 to Louie and Minnie Sablatura.

She grew up in Robstown and graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi.

She married Gilbert Martini on November 8, 1949 and they were married for over 28 years. He established Martini Brick Sales in 1957 and after his passing, Evelyn continued the brick business with several family members. Evelyn treated every customer as family and was the face of the company for over 50 years.

Evelyn began playing the church organ at 17 years of age and in 1972, she began the organ music at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. She played weekly at Mass, then weekday Masses, Weddings, Funerals or wherever she was needed. She loved playing the organ and piano. Evelyn also loved dancing, bowling, playing cards and dominoes, and entertaining family and friends. Taking and printing pictures of people brought her so much joy. She was the life of every party and will be remembered forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Margie Hoelscher, brother Mark Sablatura, daughter in-laws Diane Martini, Carla Martini and grandson David Martini.

She is survived by her 6 loving children: Joanna (Kenneth) Stubbs, Jim (Theresa) Martini, Alan (Jennifer) Martini, Roy (Linda) Martini, Linda (Jimmy) Sanders, and Rick (Debra)Martini. She was also blessed with 16 Grandchildren, 36 Great-Grandchildren And 10 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
