Fay Jean Kimball went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 15, 2022. She gained her angel wings with a great hallelujah! Throughout her lifetime she lived a beautiful Christian life. Fay Jean was a woman that showed unconditional love to everyone, whom she met! She always had a smile on her face and love in her heart for others. She always treated others as she wanted to be treated and was a very giving person.
Throughout her lifetime, she wore many hats. She was a stay-at-home Mom, Sunday School Teacher, worked in the family Meat Packing Plant, owner of the Sedar Shack Restaurant, Banquete Mobile Home Park, Motel 6 Co-Manager, and 16 years as a teacher's aide at Banquete Elementary.
Fay Jean was born to William E. (Buddy) and Versa Virginia Caraway Scarborough on December 24, 1928. She married her soulmate Audry P. Kimball on June 17, 1948. They were married for a wonderful 55 years. During this time, they had four children, twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Fay was a lifelong and founding member of the Banquete Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jack Kimball, son-in-law, Edward L. Clark; siblings, Sue Reagan, Janice Freund, Aleatha Scarborough, Jacqueline "Sissy" Scarborough; and brother-in-laws, Leon Reagan and Tom Lewis.
She is survived by her children, James "Jimmy" Kimball (Janice) of Corpus Christi, Audrey "Jeannie" Clark of New Braunfels, Jill Aldridge (Larry) of Bishop, 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Ginger Lewis, Bill and Pat Scarborough, Ruth and Jim Akers, Jack and Dianne Scarborough and many nieces and nephews. There are many more family and friends that she cherished.
The services will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St. Corpus Christi, Texas 78410. The visitation will be held from 9:00am - 10:00am on Saturday, October 22, 2022, with the funeral service to begin at 10:00am with Brother Danny Lopez officiating. Fay will be laid to rest at The Banquete Cemetery following the funeral service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
