Gary Lynn Brumley, 73, passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Gary was born in Rusk, Texas, to Emmett and Edna Brumley and was the youngest of nine children. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Brumley; his children, Emmett Brumley, Melissa Hoelscher, Bradley Flemins, and Kristina Brumley; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Hoelscher; his brother, Richard Brumley and his wife, Oleta; and his closest nephews, Mike Collins and his wife, Olga, and their children, and Larry Collins and his wife, Amy, and their daughter.

Gary spent his career working in the oilfield, a profession he took great pride in throughout his life. He was dedicated not only to his work but also to giving back to others through his involvement with the Gulf Coast chapter of Make-A-Wish Foundation and local API chapters across the state of Texas. He had a deep appreciation for music and history and enjoyed collecting oilfield memorabilia from across Texas and the many places his career took him.

 Gary also had a special place in his heart for animals and found great joy in spending time with his beloved dogs and the many grand dogs that were part of his extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
