George Allen Kuzniar

August 2, 1957 — March 31, 2026

Corpus Christi

George Allen Kuzniar, 68, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 31, 2026, after a courageous and determined battle with illness.

Born on August 2, 1957, in Harlingen, Texas, he was one of three rambunctious brothers who genuinely enjoyed their childhood and loved teasing their two older sisters and cousins. George graduated from Gregory-Portland High School and worked for his father as a master stone mason. His skilled hands, craftmanship, and strong work ethic helped build not only structures but the legacy of the family business. George would often proudly point out the high-rise buildings, hospitals, and schools in Corpus Christi that he built with his father and brother.

George was known for his love of life, valuing laughter, camaraderie, and life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with good friends. He could always be counted on to help a friend in need. He embraced his independence and lived life on his own terms, forming lasting friendships and unforgettable memories along the way.

George is remembered for his hardworking nature, his lively personality, his good heart, and the strength he showed in the face of adversity.

In his later years, George faced serious illness with remarkable strength and resilience. Through his struggle, he showed true courage and determination, never losing his spirit. During this time, he also found a deep and meaningful relationship with the Lord which gave him strength, peace, and comfort.

He leaves behind family and friends who loved him and will cherish his memory and the impact he made on their lives. May he rest in eternal peace.

George is preceded in death by his father Walter George Kuzniar, mother Mildred Ethel Kuzniar, sister Alice Lynn Kuzniar, brothers Walter Wade Kuzniar I, Oscar Kent Kuzniar, and niece Misty Stubbs

He is survived by his sister Carol Ann (Abdon) Garza Jr., nephew Walter Wade (Logan) Kuzniar II, nieces Kelli Correa, Tracie Flores-Sparrow, Lauren Elaine Kuzniar, nephews Jeremy (Charli) Garza, Anthony (Christy) Garza and sister-in-law Linda Kuzniar.

George had many great nieces and nephews that he called the “Munchkins”: Kent Alexander Kuzniar, Noah Ciprano, Sybi Thornburg, Andre (Emily) Thornburg, Mia Correa, Raeghan Flores, Kendall Sparrow, Tyler Sparrow, Grayson Sparrow, Evin Garza, Emma Garza, Nolan Garza, Jett Garza, Kinslee Thornburg and Kayden Thornburg as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins he loved.
