George Dale Orkney Jr. passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. George was born in Portland, Oregon on November 14, 1963 to (George) Dale Orkney and Jan Orkney.
Prior to enlisting in the United States Army, George graduated from Newberg High School located in Newberg, Oregon in 1982. After his military career, George attended college and worked for the United States Postal Service.
George was both generous and kind. Fishing, bowling, barbequing, and collecting cowboy boots were some of his favorite hobbies.
He was preceded in death by his parents. George is survived by his three children and two sisters.
There will be a memorial service for George at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
