Guadalupe Ruiz

On the morning of 22 Oct 2018, Guadalupe A. Ruiz, 85, of Corpus Christi, Tx, went peacefully to be with our Lord in Heaven, and with her husband, Eduardo, of 59 years of marriage. She was born in Falfurrias, Tx, on 13 June 1933, to the late Anastasio and Maria Elena Almaraz. On 25 Aug 1957 in Laredo Tx, she married Eduardo Ruiz, the love of her life, till his death on 30 Jan 2017. Lupita was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was always ready to lend a hand without complaint. She and her husband were very active members of St. Peter's Church. She was always a devout Catholic, and attributed meeting our wonderful dad to her devout prayers.She was preceded in death by her siblings, Elodia, Saul, Santiago, Delia, and Nena.Lupita was a loving wife, mother of 5, grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 6. She leaves behind her children, George, Nora, Gloria (Gary) Sykora, Ricardo, Norma (Mark) Kozlowski, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will begin on Monday, 29 October 2018, at 5pm with the Rosary to follow at 7pm at Sawyer-George Funeral Home (12497 Leopard St. Corpus Christi, 78410). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30am on Tuesday, 30 October 2018, at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church (3901 Violet Rd., Corpus Christi,Tx 78410). Burial will follow at 1pm at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery (9974 I-37 Access Rd).In lieu of flowers, family ask that donations be made to ALZ.ORG.
