Corpus Christi

Heather Lorraine Snyder-Sullivan, a devoted mother, sister, and friend, passed away in Corpus Christi on January 27, 2023, at the age of 50. She turned 50 this past December 4th.

Heather was born in Corpus Christi to Michael Snyder and Debbie Stevenson. She was very close to her older brother Brandon, baby sister Cori Lynn, her grandparents Bill and Sheila Snyder and grandmother Lorraine Stevenson. Growing up in Corpus Christi, Heather cherished time with her cousins who she nicknamed “the Tordies” and swimming at the Snyder family pool. She graduated from Carroll High School in 1991.

Heather was married to Joel Sullivan for 13 years and had two children, Braxten William Sullivan and Ethan Gene Sullivan. She was a fierce protector of her family and was incredibly generous, trying to help anyone in need. Heather loved animals and adopted numerous dogs, cats and recently fish. She loved going to rock concerts or shows, especially seeing Braxten jamming on the lead guitar or watching Ethan acting in the theater. A highly creative person, Heather loved to have fun, tell stories and jokes, decorate for Halloween, and put her artistic twist on things. In the last few years Heather’s artistic twist was never more apparent than in her apartment decor, which she took immense pride in and was definitely ALL her. She overcame many adversities in life and always had a positive outlook.

Heather was preceded in death by her father, Mike Snyder; grandparents, Charles and Lorraine Stevenson, Jr., Delos W. “Bill” and Sheila Snyder; aunt, Carolyn Snyder, and cousin, Bailey Adams. She is survived by her sons, Braxten and Ethan Sullivan of Corpus Christi; brother, Brandon Snyder (Kristi) of Houston; sister, Cori Lynn Love Snyder Rangel (Michael) of San Marcos; half-brother, Brayton Lee, mother, Debbie Stevenson of Gémozac, France; former husband, Joel Sullivan (Lisa) of Corpus Christi, and step mother, Bonnie Love Snyder of Corpus Christi.
