Helen Havrda

Helen Rose Havrda, 74, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2010 in a Beeville hospital. Helen was born March 12, 1939 in Moravia, Texas and was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mary Havrda. Helen resided at the Mathis Nursing Center. Helen is survived by two brothers, Charlie (Lora) Havrda, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas and Dennis (Kathy) Havrda of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Mildred (Larry) Orsak of Mathis, Texas and Mary Ann Firasek of Schulenburg, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Sawyer George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, 3901 Violet Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Havrda, Lawrence “Buddy” Orsak, Sean Orsak, Juan Jimenez, Billy Whitehead, and Mike Oelschlegel. Helen was an angel on earth, and now she is one of God’s Heavenly Angels. She will be missed.
