Hilda Magill Peters

Hilda M. Peters, a loving mother and Nana was born on May 21, 1946, in Cobleskill NY. She passed away on December 25, 2025 after a short illness.

She was the youngest of three children born to Thomas Henry Magill and Mary Theresa McEwan Magill. After graduating from High School Hilda enlisted in the U.S. Army. After serving in the Army, she went to work as a Civil Servant for 30 years including time at NAS Corpus Christi and NS Ingleside.

Hilda attended church at Our Lady of the Assumption in Ingleside, TX. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association and the VFW Auxiliary. Hilda had a passion for crocheting and knitting. She made countless blankets for friends and family as well as beanies and Christmas stockings for the children at Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mary Magill, and her twin brother Tom Magill. She is survived by her daughter Amy Maurin (Joe), her son Frank Peters (Donna), three grandchildren Mitchell Peters, Kimberley Sartin (Seth), and Natalie Peters, step grandchildren Jessica Thompson (Ian), Kristie Goyer (Brian), Kristian Cangelosi (Brittney), Blain Maurin, her sister Harriett Fowler (Don), several nieces and nephews along with longtime friend Cecelia Campbell (Charlie).

Her family would like to thank the staff at Avir River Ridge Nursing & Rehabilitation and Devoted Healthcare & Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Hilda.
