Iona “Bunchie”

Iona Jewell Squyres “Bunchie”, 79 of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Tuesday March 2, 2010. She was born January 1, 1931 to Hugo and Mittie Jacobson in Brady, Texas. She married her husband Cue Dee Squyres on April 5, 1947. Iona is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, her parents, and brother V.J. Jacobson She is survived by her niece, Rheba Roberts of Sandia, Texas; nephews, Carl Jacobson of Corpus Christi, Texas, Joseph Jacobson of Sandia, Texas; numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family present will be on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Robstown Memorial Park with Robert Byrd and Jerry Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow.
