James King

James Gregory “Greg” King passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 in a local hospital. He was born October 22, 1959 in Kingsville, Texas and lived all of his life in Corpus Christi, Texas. He worked for Citgo Refinery for 30 years. Greg was a Christian, having met Jesus when he was 11 years old. Greg was an outdoor man, especially anything involving water – fishing, scuba diving, surfing, bike riding on the beach – and for quiet times – playing golf. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sherri King. He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Loretta King; his brother, Rick (Karen) King; uncles, Lowell “Bud” (Jean) Burris, Ronnie (Debby) Burris, Harold (Cathy) Burris, Bill King, many cousins; his “chosen” brothers, Keith, Kenneth and Jeff Bower. Greg’s love was like a circle, it had no beginning and no ending, he touched everyone he came in contact with. He had a sweet spirit and a love of life. Once you were his friend, you were a friend for life. Thank you our precious son for all the sweet memories. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Adam Copeland officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
