Jimmy Lee Emmert Sr. went home to the Lord on August 9, 2021. Jimmy was born December 6,1938 in Corpus Christi TX. Jimmy loved his HAM radios his call sign was AK5T. He was proud of his extra class license. Jimmy was employed and retired for GTE. He is Survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Jane Skoruppa Emmert, Son Jimmy Lee Emmert Jr. and daughters Janet Stastney and Joan (Kenny) Bransford. Nine Grandchildren James Lee (Shawn) Emmert III, Joshua (Corina) Emmert, Rachel (Michael) Koegel, Allyson (Zach) Salinas, Michael Stastney, Ryker (Elizabeth) Stastney, Thadeus Bullock, April (Jeff) De Leon, Jake Bransford. Great Grandchildren Decklyn Rose Emmert, Brayden Chase Parlamas, Charlotte Ann Koegel, Case Paul, and Cash Waylan Stastney, Sawyer, Cylas, Bowen Stastney. Visitation Thursday August 12, 2021, 10 am to 12pm followed by chapel services at 12pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home. Interment at Costal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 2pm.
