Mr. Bowman is survived by his beloved wife, Thanh Chi Bowman, and his cherished daughter, Katie Westbrook. He leaves behind his loving brothers, Jim Bowman and Craig Bowman, and his nieces Lorraine Bowman, Valerie Feliciano, and Kristy Bennett. John was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Bowman, his mother, Erma Bowman, and his son, also named John.

A respected member of the professional community, Mr. Bowman worked at Texas A&M College of Pharmacy in Kingsville, TX, where he devoted himself to advancing pharmaceutical science and patient care. His colleagues recognized him for a deep passion for pharmacology and a relentless pursuit of improving patient outcomes through research. Services honoring Mr. Bowman’s memory will be held at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home, located at 12497 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. Visitation will take place on August 7, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the same location. A Mass will be celebrated on August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 16602 FM624, Robstown, TX 78380.
