John Evans

John Pinard Evans, age 72, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away September 12, 2010. He was born October 22, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas to John Wesley and Anna Faye Evans. Mr. Evans was a former fireman with the Corpus Christi Fire Department, worked for Reynolds Aluminum in Ingleside, Texas for several years, was a hunting and fishing guide for ten years and worked for Valero in Corpus Christi, Texas for the last fifteen years. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Alma Sandoval Evans of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons, John Alan (Windy) Evans, Joel Kent (Kelly) Evans, James Bryant Evans all of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter, Julie Ann Wallace of Houston, Texas; sisters, Janeen Evans and Judith Fowlkes both of Houston, Texas; step-children, Edmundo (Dianna) Martinez, Jr. of Katy, Texas and Jennifer Martinez of San Antonio, Texas; eight granddaughters, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson. Memorial Services will be conducted on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
