John Samuel Heflin

John Samuel Heflin, 84, husband of the late Irma Heflin of Robstown, TX. passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Corpus Christi Medical Center Doctor’s Regional.

Mr. Heflin served in the US Army during the Korean war in addition to two tours in Vietnam. After 22 years in the service, he retired as Master Sergeant. He then went on to work for many more years in the Oil and Gas industry where he retired.

After his retirement from Citgo, John and his wife enjoyed much of their time together in the Texas Hill Country making many friends while traveling in their RV. After his wife’s passing in 2008, John, or Johan as his friends knew him, continued to spend the majority of his final years in Center Point, Texas where he found great happiness.

He is survived by his son Tyron Heflin, Robstown TX. and his daughter, Carmen Elisabeth, Polk County, FL.; four grandchildren, Jacob and Erin, Corpus Christi, TX., Tristan and Julian, Polk County, FL. He is also survived by two siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome to meet at Robstown Cemetery where we will celebrate his life with a graveside service on Saturday, July 2nd at 10:00 am.
