Nita Repka, our beloved mom, born February 14, 1934, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, faith, family, and memories that will forever remain in our hearts.

She grew up in humble beginnings, the daughter of a hardworking farmer. Those early years shaped the woman she would become - strong, generous, and deeply devoted to God and her family. On June 5, 1953, she married the love of her life, Ervin Repka, in Georgia. Together they built a life centered around family and raised their 5 children in Robstown, Texas.

Mom was a loving mother who gave her children something far greater than things - she gave them a childhood filled with laughter, traditions, adventures, faith, and memories that we will treasure forever. She was always there in exactly the way each of her children needed her. She was the one who lent a loving ear to Carol and became her prayer warrior. She was the catcher when Jr. and Kevin needed someone to practice pitching with and was also their cycling merit badge counselor. Mom was also the loudest, proudest cheerleader in the stands as Coleen and Colette played basketball. Mom knew how to make ordinary days special. She made every summer count and helped create some of our family’s greatest memories. There were meals of Barrera’s chicken at Cole Park, weekend trips to Rockport and Brownsville, and many trips to visit family near and far. It wasn’t necessarily where we went or what we did - it was that we were together. Mom had a way of making family feel like the greatest adventure of all.

Her love was steady and unconditional. She listened, encouraged, prayed, cheered, comforted, and loved us through every season of life. She created a home where her children knew they were loved and where the memories of childhood would continue to bring smiles and warmth long after those days had passed.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we are grateful for the extraordinary gift of having her as our mom. Her faith, strength, kindness, and devotion to her family will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers, her husband, Ervin, and her daughter, Carol.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Ronnie Klepac, her sons Jr. (Kris), Kevin (Irene), and her daughters, Coleen and Colette.

Also loved by her grandchildren: Tabitha (Tony) Joyce, Brad (Cara Cabla) Repka, Kenny Repka, Tanner (Meghan) Repka, Nathan (Britni Hicks) Rachui, Lindsey Rachui, Eric (Staci) Rachui, Maddie Rojas and Sophia Repka.

She was also adored by her great-grandchildren: Kamryn and Colby Joyce, Lily and Reese Repka, Hunter Repka, Kacen and Kaylee Repka, Jaxon, Maddox, and Lennox Rachui, and Rhett Rachui.

Pallbearers will be Tabitha Joyce, Brad Repka, Kenny Repka, Tanner Repka, Nathan Rachui, Lindsey Rachui, Eric Rachui, Sophia Repka, and Maddie Rojas.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Klepac, Jim Grossman, Tony Joyce, Alex Pullen, Jerry Repka, Tommy West, Don Williams and Jeff Womac.

We will miss her voice, her hugs, her prayers, her laughter, and the way she made us feel loved simply by being there. Mom gave us a lifetime of memories, and those memories will carry us until we see her again.

We would like to give a special thanks to Fredda Martin and the Extraordinary Ministers from St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Church who visited her weekly to provide communion and pray with her. We would also like to thank her caregivers: Diane, Mary , and Stella from Warm Hearts Private Duty and Chris, Terry, and the rest of the team from Devoted Healthcare and Hospice who provided comfort for her in the last few months.
