Kathryn Gibbs

Kathryn Gayleen Houseworth Gibbs, age 85, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 18, 2018. Kathryn was born January 2, 1933 in Independence, Kansas and was an only child. She loved playing the piano, being with her beloved dogs, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a homemaker and substitute teacher. She lived most of her life in the Fort Worth, Texas area and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 2000. She was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and attended church regularly. She was known for her homemade baked pies and homemade rolls. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Houseworth; her husband, Bert Gibbs; and grandson, J.B. Walton. She is survived by her children; Kenneth Gibbs, Candace Walton (Jim), Kip Gibbs (Sandy), and Howard Gibbs (Laura); grandchildren; Colton Gibbs, Cheyenne Walton, Justin Gibbs (Michelle), Katrina Gibbs, Emily Gibbs, Joshua Gibbs and Jacob Gibbs. A special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living for all of their loving care. Memorial Service will be conducted July 28, 2018 at 2 pm at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel in Corpus Christi, Texas with Pastor Ralph Green officiating.
