Lavera Gregorcyk

Lavera C. Gregorcyk, age 85, of Mathis, Texas passed away October 3, 2018. Mrs. Gregorcyk was born August 19, 1933 in Violet, Texas to Mary and Lorenz Ferk. She was a homemaker and worked at C. R. Anthony’s in Robstown and the Banquete school cafeteria. She is preceded in death by her husband, Urban “Sonny” Gregorcyk; her brothers, Eugene and Charlie Ferk; her sisters, Nora Prochazka, Norma Shilhab, Clara Settle and Lorene Whitley. She is survived by eight daughters, Cathy Gregorcyk of Rockdale, Texas, Jeanette (Mike) Hoyer of Superior, Nebraska, Mary Lee Trcka (Jack Frankenhauser) of Kenedy, Texas, Loretta (Brian) Kieschnick of Bishop, Texas, Jacque (Sammy) DeSpain of George West, Texas, Lucy Greenwood of Irving, Texas, Gretchen (Bobby) Valentine of Hammond, Louisiana and Ellen Quintanilla (Mike) of Corpus Christi, Texas; 24 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas. Burial will follow in the Robstown Memorial Park.
