Linda Coffin Lofland
Linda Coffin Lofland, age 81, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on June 22, 2026, with family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Linda was born in San Antonio, Texas to Miller Gerard Coffin and Florence Miller Coffin on June 10, 1945.
Linda graduated from W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1963. After graduating, she attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She returned to Corpus Christi and met Donald Lofland. They married on May 28, 1966, and were married for 56 years before Donald's passing in 2023. They lived in Kerrville, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Portland and then finally Victoria, Texas, to be closer to family and grandkids.
Linda was a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Corpus Christi until moving to Victoria. She had a very strong faith and raised her family in the church, rarely missing a Sunday. She was very active in the church, volunteering for many roles and most of her closest friends were made there. She loved to spend time with friends, whether it was getting together at each other's homes, camping or taking trips. Linda loved to travel and she and Donald took many wonderful vacations, all over the U.S. and to Europe. They spent many days taking day trips around Texas visiting antique shops, to add the perfect pieces to their well-decorated home. They also spent much of their last 20 years together at their Frio River house in Concan. Many family trips were made to Concan, floating the river, having cookouts and picnics.
She had a great smile, loved to laugh, loved to play games and was incredibly competitive. She loved her kids and grandkids and was always their biggest cheerleader. She loved to go to her grandkids' golf tournaments and follow along in a golf cart and keep their scores. She was very proud of her family and all their accomplishments. Linda will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald Lofland and sister Peggy Peters (Mike).
Linda is survived by her brother James Coffin (Lynn) of Kerrville, Texas; daughter Kelly Lofland Richards (Peter) of Victoria, Texas; son Kyle David Lofland (Susan) of Victoria, Texas; grandchildren Taylor Lofland and Jared Lofland, both of Victoria, Texas.
A funeral service will be held on July 6, 2026, at Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., the funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
