Loretta Boerner, 99 of Granbury, Texas, passed away December 27, 2017. Loretta was born December 23, 1918, in Granger, Texas to Matt and Louise Strmiska. Loretta lived most of her adult life in Violet, Texas where she was very involved with St. Anthony Catholic Church and the community. Family, faith, learning, and leadership exemplified her life. Loretta was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank P. Havelka; second husband, Otto J. Boerner; son, Franklin Leroy Havelka; daughter, Helen Havelka Liedecke; and daughter, Karen Boerner. Loretta is survived by son, Don Havelka and wife Carolyn, Violet, Texas; daughter, Loretta Sherar and husband Doug, Granbury, Texas; son, Mike Boerner and wife Jennifer, Austin, Texas; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed, loved, and remembered as a role model, friend, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Visitation and Rosary will be held at 7 pm, January 3, 2018, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 3918 County Road 61, Robstown, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am, January 4, 2018, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Anthony Cemetery Association or the Violet Historical Society.
