Mary Day

Our dear mother Mary Jayne Day sadly passed away on Sunday, March 12th, 2023 at the age of 87. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Laura Nell Cobb, Susan Lynn Cobb, Crystal Ann Kopycinski and Steven Richard Day. Mary Jayne had five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lafay Moszczenski and her brother Walter James Moszczenski.

Mary Jayne Day was born September the 8th 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri where she lived and attended high school and loved basketball and horseback riding. When she was 19 years old she became an Air Line stewardess for Braniff Air Lines. She married Frank Drew Cobb in 1955 in Dallas Texas. Together they had three daughters. In 1971 she remarried Richard Day and together they had one son.

As an adult she opened her own interior design business and worked in this field for 30 years until her retirement. She was also an avid traveler visiting many countries around the world. She especially loved Paris, France and Belize. In her later years she lived in Alpine, Texas before moving to Corpus Christi in 2008.

She leaves behind many friends here at home in Texas and around the world. The family is planning a memorial service in mid May, 2023.
