Mary Stewart

Mary Martha Stewart, 57, of Liberty Hill, Texas passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 at her home. She was born October 17, 1962 in Robstown, Texas to Geronimo Vela, Jr. and Maria Naomi Vasquez Vela. She was a member of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, Geronimo Vela, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Michael Stewart of Mont Belvieu, Texas; her sons, Michael Stewart, Jr. and Joshua Stewart both of Baytown, Texas; her daughter, Kathryn Mary Stewart of Mont Belvieu, Texas; her granddaugher, Casey Jo Gonzalez of Mont Belvieu, Texas; her mother, Maria Naomi Vela; her brothers, Geronimo Vela, III of Victoria, Texas and Javier Vela of Italy; her sister, Tricia Lara of Liberty Hills, Texas; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 23, 2020 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church on Violet Road. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.
