Maurice "Bud" White, 85, of Robstown, Texas, passed away on April 24, 2026. Born on August 27, 1940, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Maurice Ewing White and Lillie Janssen White. Bud lived a life defined by generosity, service, and an extraordinary ability to fix or create just about anything.
Bud proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he built a career in the oilfield industry, where his mechanical aptitude and tireless work ethic earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.
A true handyman at heart, Bud had a passion for restoring outboard motors and mopeds, bringing old machines back to life with skill and patience. He loved fishing and camping, and he found special joy in helping with the Camp Fire Girls group, sharing his love of the outdoors. His generous spirit extended throughout the Corpus Christi community, where he was a constant presence at Bayfest, a dedicated supporter of the Calallen Colorguard, and a willing volunteer, if someone needed help, Bud was there.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Ewing White and Lillie Janssen White and his grandson, Jayden Wyatt Fausnight. Bud is survived by his daughters, Heather Fausnight (Patrick Garrett) and Natalie Neisser (William); his sisters, Joyce Engelhardt (Ed) and Janice Cohrs; and his brother, Wayne White. His grandsons, Jeral Fausnight (Emma), Jayce Fausnight and Jacob Neisser, his great grandson Jayden Alexander Fausnight.
A military service will be held on June 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at Grace United Methodist Church from 1-3 pm.
