Maynard Anthony Bockholt, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home on August 6, 2026. He was a dedicated father, husband, and veteran, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born February 8, 1945, in Violet, Texas, Maynard was the middle of eleven children. A welder in the petrochemical industry by trade, he lived in the Corpus Christi area his entire life. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and woodcrafts. He also proudly volunteered for local veteran’s activities over the years.

Maynard is survived by his wife, Barbara, and sons, Clint Worton of Portland, Oregon and Aaron Bockholt of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by his ten siblings, Mary Frances O’Neil, Leander Bockholt, Wayne Bockholt, Robert Bockholt, Julie Marcacci, Marilyn McCown, Marvin Bockholt, Edward Bockholt, Jeannette Ethridge, David Bockholt, as well as twenty-four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Rosina Bockholt, formerly of Violet, Texas.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, at Sawyer George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. Viewing will begin at 9:00 am with the Ceremony to follow at 9:30 am. A Military Funeral Honors Ceremony will follow at 11:00 am, at the Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
