Minerva Rodriguez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Minerva Longoria Rodriguez, who left us peacefully on July 22, 2025, at the age of 94. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Minerva was cherished for her kindness, support, and deep love for her family.

Minerva dedicated her life to raising her eight children, creating a home filled with love, encouragement, and laughter. She was a constant presence in their lives—cheering from the sidelines at baseball games, supporting their involvement in band, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts, and actively participating in the PTA at every level.

As a proud member of her local cake club, her passion for baking brought joy to many. With every cake she baked and every word of encouragement she offered, she left a legacy of love and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Rodriguez. She is survived by her eight children, 28 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her spirit and values.

A service will be held at Sawyer- George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX, on August 4th, with the viewing starting at 5:00 P.M. and the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Her family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful life she lived.

The funeral will be on August 5th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church (3901 Violet Rd, Corpus Christi, TX). We will proceed to Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery for the burial at 2:00 P.M.
