With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Pablo Gonzales Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend who departed his life peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by family.
Pablo was born on January 24, 1959, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Antonio and Myrtle Dixon Gonzalez. From the very beginning, Pablo radiated kindness, strength, selflessness, and grace. He carried these qualities with him throughout his life, touching the hearts of everyone he met. He was truly a jack of all trades. Over the years, he worked in construction and successfully owned and operated several businesses of his own. His strong work ethic, versatility, and determination allowed him to provide for his family and earn the respect of everyone he worked with.
He had a deep love for cars and a sharp eye for opportunities, always enjoying the excitement of gambling and money-making ventures. He could often be found at a poker table, laughing and competing, surrounded by friends and family. A natural jokester, he loved to make people laugh and brought humor and light into each room he entered. More than anything, he cherished time spent with those closest to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Antonio Gonzalez Jr., Anita Gonzalez, and Lee Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda Gonzales, his children, Leticia (Christopher) Zavala, Pablo (Trisha Daniloff) Gonzales Jr., and Lisa (Manuel Pacheco) Gonzales; his grandchildren, Madalin, Aleah, Ava Jo, Levi, & Lilian; his brothers, Gilbert Gonzalez and Ray Gonzalez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all their friends for the prayers, visits, and acts of kindness shown during their time of bereavement.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM that evening at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
