Paul Warren
Pusley
Jan 14, 1932 — Oct 14, 2026
Kingsville
Paul Warren Pusley, born January 14, 1932, in Gerty, Oklahoma, passed away on October 14, 2026.
Paul lived a long life marked by determination, adaptability, and a deep commitment to work and family. He attended Tuloso Midway in Corpus Christi and went on to build a life defined by perseverance and an adventurous spirit. Throughout the years, he was never afraid of hard work and embraced many different roles. He began in seismograph operations with Humble Oil, a path that eventually led him to running two restaurants, the Monarch and the Viking, in Port Lavaca, Texas. His adventurous nature even took him to Alaska for a time before he found his lifelong career with the Southern Pacific Railroad. There, working in Maintenance and Way building tracks, Paul devoted an incredible 57 years before his well-earned retirement.
Among the things Paul held most dear was his family. He was married twice during his life, and through those marriages created a large and beautiful family that remained one of his proudest accomplishments.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Jimmy) Byrd, and his son, Mack (Nancy) Pusley. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jenny, Hailey, Stephen, and Jeffery, as well as his great-grandchildren, Riley, Bailey, Hanna, Kenzie, Karsen, and great great- grandchildren, Jaxxon, and Jasper. Their lives stand as part of the lasting legacy of love and family that Paul built over the years.
Paul was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Jim and Hall, and by his sister, Gloria Lee.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his willingness to take on life’s many opportunities, and the family he cherished. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
